Driving Suggested Route
Stop 1 – 18th Street Arts Center (just off the I-10 Freeway at Olympic and 18th Street)
Stop 2 – LACMA (Wilshire & Fairfax)
Stop 3 – Charles White Elementary (2401 Wilshire Blvd near Westlake/MacArthur Park)
Head on over the 18th Street Arts Center early in the day via the I-10 Freeway, exiting Cloverfield. Turn left on Olympic and right on 18th Street. To get to LACMA, take the I-10 east, getting off at Fairfax, and heading north on Fairfax to Wilshire Blvd (about 10 miles). Head east on surface streets (6th Street and/or Wilshire) towards MacArthur Park and the nearby Charles White Elementary School (about 5 miles).
Public Transportation Suggested Route
Stop 1 – 18th Street Arts Center (17th/SMC on the Metro Expo Line)
Stop 2 – Charles White Elementary (Westlake/MacArthur Park on the red or purple lines)
Stop 3 – LACMA (Wilshire & Western on the purple line)
Take the Metro Expo Line from 7th Street/Metro downtown, or stops along the crosstown lightrail to 17th/SMC. Walk south on 17th Street and turn left on Olympic, then left again on 18th Street (about 2 blocks). Next, hop back on the Metro Expo line and ride it to the terminus at 7th St/Metro Center. Transfer to the Red/Purple line towards Wilshire/Western/North Hollywood and get out at Westlake/MacArthur Park. Walk through the park on Wilshire Blvd, and Charles White Elementary will be on your right. Take the #20 bus towards Westwood down Wilshire Blvd until the Wilshire/Curson stop, and walk approximately 0.4 miles to LACMA.
