Mapa Teatro brought objects and archival materials from LACMA’s Bing Theater (a curtain, seats, chandelier parts, photographs, and documents) to the Fossil Lab of the nearby La Brea Tar Pits Museum, where they enlisted staff and volunteers to research the Bing’s relics to unearth the theater’s history. Mapa Teatro’s 37-minute video of this performance is included in their installation in A Universal History of Infamy, and will be screened twice a month in the Bing Theater. View additional programs.
